Today was a great peaceful Sunday after 8:00 a.m. service. The children and I went to church and Sunday school, and then went to Wal-Mart to pick up tissue and Alfredo sauce, then was back at home by 11:00 a.m. We normally go out sometimes to just ride around or just go and look in stores and say what we buy if we had the money. Yeah, sounds like a bunch of lunatics, right? After I changed clothes, I cut up some chicken breast so that we could have chicken Alfredo. My daughter sat in the kitchen with me and read a book just in case I needed her help. I thought that was sweet even though I didn't ask her to do it. My son ironed his clothes for at least two days while hubby sat in the recliner doing what he loves to do....watch TV. The phone didn't ring at all today to see how hubby was doing, nor did anyone come to visit hubby to see how his recovery was going. YES!! Not that I don't mind people coming and calling, but the family needs a rest too. I thought I was in la-la land. The children were doing things and I didn't even have to tell them, nor did I have to raise my voice for one thing today.
After everyone ate, we all scattered to our own little rat hole. I got up in that bed and conked out. I hadn't taken a Sunday nap in quite awhile and it felt so great. Ahhhhhhh, so peaceful, so quiet. This was so enjoyable and so needed. I must do this again real soon, anybody want to join me?
Sounds sooo relaxing except for the cooking (lol). I know, I want it all!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm not sure if people are able to read comments on my blog when I respond to their comments, I thought I'd just put a comment on your blog that doesn't have anything to do with this particular post.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said that I should go to the graveyard and see if dead people are walking around, I thought maybe I should go look for my grandpa...apparently my dad dug him up last weekend!
Sunday naps are the best!
